【摘要】:Theproperpreparationofcopperandcopperalloysurfacesforelectroplating,conversioncoating,orautocatalyticplatingisoftencriticaltotheperformanceofthecoatings.Thispracticeoutlinesproceduresrequiredtoproducesatisfactorycoatingsonsurfacesofcopperandcopperalloysurfaces.1.1Thispracticeisintendedtoserveasaguidefortheproperpreparationofcopperanditsalloysforelectroplatingandconversioncoating.Thispracticeisalsosuitableforusebeforeautocatalyticplating.Onlyalloyscontainingatleast50mass%copperareconsideredwithinthescopeofthispractice.1.2Thewidevarietyofmethodsofmechanicalfinishingarenotconsideredstrictlyaspreparationforelectroplatingorconversioncoatingandconsequentlyaredescribedonlybriefly.1.3Detailsofelectroplatingandsubsequenttreatmentsforapplyingconversioncoatingsarenotwithinthescopeofthispractice.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see6.5.2.
