【摘要】:Theproceduredescribedinthistestmethodisdesignedtoprovideamethodbywhichthecoatingweightofzirconiumtreatmentsonmetalsubstratesmaybedetermined.Thistestmethodisapplicablefordeterminationofthetotalcoatingweightandthezirconiumcoatingweightofazirconium-containingtreatment.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheuseofX-rayfluorescence(XRF)spectrometryforthedeterminationofthemassofzirconium(Zr)coatingweightperunitareaofmetalsubstrates.1.2Coatingtreatmentscanalsobeexpressedinunitsoflinearthicknessprovidedthatthedensityofthecoatingisknown,orprovidedthatacalibrationcurvehasbeenestablishedforthicknessdeterminationusingstandardswithtreatmentmatchingthisoftestspecimenstobeanalyzed.Forsimplicity,themethodwillsubsequentlyrefertothedeterminationexpressedascoatingweight.1.3XRFisapplicableforthedeterminationofthecoatingweightaszirconiumortotalcoatingweightofazirconiumcontainingtreatment,orboth,onavarietyofmetalsubstrates.1.4ThemaximummeasurablecoatingweightforagivencoatingisthatweightbeyondwhichtheintensityofthecharacteristicX-rayradiationfromthecoatingorthesubstrateisnolongersensitivetosmallchangesinweight.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasthestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
