【摘要】:Carbondioxidegastransmissionrate(CO2TR)isanimportantdeterminantofthepackagingprotectionaffordedbybarriermaterials.Itisnot,however,thesoledeterminant,andadditionaltests,basedonexperience,mustbeusedtocorrelatepackagingperformancewithCO2TR.Itissuitableasarefereemethodoftesting,providedthatpurchaserandsellerhaveagreedonsamplingprocedures,standardizationprocedures,testconditionsandacceptancecriteria.1.1Thismethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminationofthesteady-staterateoftransmissionofcarbondioxidegasthroughplasticsintheformoffilm,sheeting,laminates,coextrusions,orplastic-coatedpapersorfabrics.Itprovidesforthedeterminationof(1)carbondioxidegastransmissionrate(CO2TR),(2)thepermeanceofthefilmtocarbondioxidegas(PCO2),and(3)carbondioxidepermeabilitycoefficient(P"CO2)inthecaseofhomogeneousmaterials.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
